Pastor Adeboye and Gov. Amosun in hot dispute…Church HQtrs demolished

There is trouble in Ogun state as the Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye at loggerheads with each other.
Yesterday at about 4pm, the Ultra modern Ogun State headquarters of the church which is still under construction was demolished by agents of the state government.

The big edifice which is at roofing level located inside Obasanjo Hiltop Estate, Abeokuta was reduced to rubbles despite claims that the church have all the legal documents and approvals.

In his usual gentle manner, Pastor Adeboye refused to appeal to the Governor to avert the demolition only stating that the seat of the Governor is just for a stipulated time while the church of God is everlasting.

It was gathered that that particular branch was going to be headed by one-time former Ogun state House of Assembly member, Hon Remmy Hassan who had a fall-out with the governor sometime ago.
Some sources however, have linked the church’s demolition to the dispute between the politician turned pastor and the governor.

In another news, there is already a lingering battle between the Ogun State government and The Redeemed Church as both parties have been laying claims to the repairing of the bad portion of Ogun State side of Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.
