Uniuyo Next Vice-Chancellor Was Indicted By Court

Professor Enefiok Essien, who is designated the next vice chancellor of the University of Uyo, was indicted in 2005 for forgery and sexual assault.

The court papers exclusively obtained by Premium Times state that the 55-year-old professor, currently the dean of the faculty of law at Uniuyo, was involved in the case related to the expulsion of a female student, Linda Onyebuchi Essell, over her alleged involvement in examination malpractice.

The expulsion was nullified and the university did not appeal the judgement.
