Pres. Buhari reveals his intention for all those accused of stealing government funds

President Buhari while addressing the General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church, Rev Felix Meduoye and his delegation who paid him a visit at the state house on Monday, November 16th
reaffirmed his administration’s purpose to persecute all corrupt political officers.
He said his government is working diligently in building up cases against those that have been accused of stealing government money.

Under military rule, people could be arrested and held on the basis of suspicion, but in a true democracy, anyone accused of an offense must be presumed innocent till pronounced guilty by a court of law.

He said.

Buhari also revealed that his government is gathering evidences and facts before formal charges are brought against the suspected thieves adding that the war against corruption will be fought within the ambit of the law.
