UNICAL students protest over lack of amenities

There was pandemonium early this morning at the University of Calabar campus as students took to the school premises for a protest.
The protest which went on for some hours started when the boys from the male hostel marched to the female hostel to mobilize the female students to join them.

Speaking to a student of the school, she said the students especially the ones at the school hostels have been suffering as there have been epileptic electricity and water supply for a very long time.

They are also protesting the hike in school fees and the scarcity of hostel accomodation.

No lectures are ongoing as the protest have disrupted the normal school activities.

All entrance/exits in the school were also blocked by the angry students.
