Ghastly Motor Accident Claims Life In Abuja

A tragic accident that involved a Ford SUV in Abuja claimed the life of an unidentified undergraduate on Monday afternoon.



The ill-fated accident occurred on the expressway linking Wuse market to the National mosque around 3:00pm. A witness said that an occupant of the suv died in the accident while two others were rushed to Gwarinpa hospital.


“They were four in the jeep, the car was speeding, it ran over the bridge and fell inside the ditch, it destroyed the bridge barrier and fell inside, a guy died instantly, the driver was unscratched, he only have a small cut on his palm,” he said.


“Two others were rushed to Gwarinpa hospital and I heard they were wheeled straight to the theatre, the boy that died is a friend from one of the guy they rushed to the hospital, the driver said he followed them home from school and they are trying to reach his parents now,” The man who identified himself as Musa narrated their ordeal.

All efforts to get the Federal road safety corps (FRSC) members present at the scene to speak proved abortive as none of them was ready to speak to the press.







The accident caused a gridlock on the busy motorway as motorist parked their cars to catch a glimpse of the unfortunate incident. The Federal road safety corps (FRSC) members made all efforts to open the road.
