Four men have been arrested by the Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), for allegedly sodomizing a 16-year-old boy, Umar Sani, in Taura Local Government Area of the state.
The men, Auwalu Idris, 41, Nazifi Abba, 25, Abdullahi Rabiu, 28, and Abu Zaid Yusu, 18, according to the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Dr. Muhammed Gidado, had at different times, forcefully had anal sex with the boy and threatened to kill him if he told anyone of what they were doing to him.
But apparently tired of the unholy sexual assault, the boy personally lodged a complaint with the Corps and the quartet were arrested.
Gidado said the boy reported that the four men had been abusing him sexually for over two years at different locations and he could not tell his parents for fear they would kill him like they threatened.
The Commandant added that the young boy was verified when he was taken to a hospital for medical examination and the result proved that he had been abused sexually.
Gidado who said the culprits have been charged before a magistrates' court, had confessed to committing the crime during interrogation, pleading for forgiveness as it the devil that pushed them into it.
Cases of sodomy are becoming rampant in Nigeria these days as a middle aged was arrested in the Ojo area of Lagos State, in August after he was caught raping a five-year-old boy.
In the same vein, another man was arrested in April for allegedly sodomizing an 11-year-old boy in Lagos as well.
