(UPDATE): Abductors Of Chief Olu Falae Demands 100M Ransom

The abductors of the Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), who is the traditional ruler of Ilu-Abo, Chief Olu Falae has demanded a N100 million ransom for the chief release.


It would be recalled that some suspected kidnappers on Monday (today) stormed Ilu-Abo in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State and kidnapped former presidential candidate of Alliance for Democracy (AD) and All Peoples Party (APP) in 1999 elections, Chief Olu Falae.

The Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Mr Wole Ogodo, who confirmed the kidnapping by the suspected herdsmen, said the Command had sent a rescue team to the town to liberate the Afenifere chieftain.

Similarly, the Director of Publicity of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mr Remi Olayiwola said the kidnappers have established contact with the family and have demanded a N100 million ransom.

Olayiwola said the voice on phone, which sounded like that of Fulani man, said the money should be paid between Monday and Tuesday, otherwise they may not see Falae again.
